2019- 2020 Board Application is OPEN!

 

Women in Business is opening its board applications for the next academic year. Please see the attached flyer for information about the org, the events we have hosted, and our vision for the future.

President:
The President of WiB sets a semester-long agenda like Office Hours, alumnae chats, Finance Circle Conferences and whether WiB will participate in off-campus activities like conferences, and competitions. They also set-up weekly meeting times and meeting agendas and make sure that all members are getting the support they need to carry out their duties. They will usually lead Office Hours and other events like Welcome Back socials. They will also liaise with other offices on-campus such as the CDC, the President’s Office and the Alumnae Association.

Treasurer:
The Treasurer of WiB prepares and submits monthly funding applications. They are also responsible for reimbursements and making sure the account does not go into the negative. Additionally, they must attend a Ways and Means audit at the end of each semester. They will also fulfill other duties as needed.

Digital Media Chair:
The Digital Media Chair is responsible for maintaining the WiB website, as well as our presence on social media (i.e. Facebook). They will also be making and designing flyers and infographics for WiB events. They are also responsible for keeping track of opportunities related to business to post on Facebook or email to the WiB mailing list.

​

Event Coordinator:
The Event Coordinator is responsible for coordinating events held by WiB like the offeree panel and alumnae chats. Specific commitments include filling out Event Registration Forms, booking a location for events, setting-up any equipment such as a projector or a camera that an event requires, and being flexible in an emergency to make sure the event goes smoothly. Preferably, you have a car or can get fleet certified so you can pick-up guests or food before an event.
